Program Description The BS in Coaching program is a 39 hour program. In a student’s final year of study, they will complete a 50-hour practicum in a sport-instruction setting

As a student in this program, you'll have opportunities to:

  • apply FITT principles in the development of a training plan;
  • demonstrate proficient performance in a variety of sport skills;
  • evaluate the performance of others in a psychomotor domain;
  • identify/perform effective teaching/coaching techniques in an authentic setting;
  • present strategies for the inclusion of the disabled in sport settings; and
  • demonstrate the skills of First Aid, CPR, and AED.
