PADM 610 Legal and Political Aspects for the Public Service Official

This course focuses on the study of the legalistic and political aspects of public organizations through an exploration of such concepts as leadership, management, professionalism, ethical behavior, administration, organizational theory, networking, collaboration, and personal development. The focus of this course is to enable students to understand variations in different organizational settings, alternative bases of authority, diverse communication styles, as well as how one may exercise leadership in public diverse settings. This course requires substantial readings and a research paper/project.
