NURS 781 Psych Mental Health Management I

The focus of this course includes introducing the learner to theories of psychopathology, foundations of psychiatric examination, understanding key concepts in the diagnosis and management of serious and persistent psychiatric disorders and mental health problems in individuals. Techniques for the management of mental health problems in individuals will include both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. Emphasis is placed on differentiating signs and symptoms to formulate possible diagnoses and selection of evidence-based treatments.
