MED 205 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers II

This course explores techniques of problem-solving, logical reasoning, and communication by emphasizing both a conceptual and active approach to mathematical ideas for teaching mathematics in elementary and middle school classrooms. Topics include number sense surrounding fractions, decimals, and percents, algebra, geometry, measurement, proportional relationships, probability, and statistics. This course and the evidence associated with it align with INTASC.2 and NCPTS.III.
