MED 204 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers
This course explores early concepts of number sense, meanings for the operations, basic fact fluency, whole number, and place-value concepts for teaching mathematics in elementary and middle school classrooms. Topics include number operations and properties, ratio and proportional relationships, and introductory number theory. This course and the evidence associated with it align with INTASC.2 and NCPTS.III. Prerequisites: Completion of the Mathematics Foundational Experience of the General Education Requirements.
