The MDiv/MBA program is designed to enhance the administrative skills and expertise of ministers by permitting them to earn a second degree, the MBA, instead of the usual MDiv concentration. The program has three potential student populations in view: (1) the minister who desires greater expertise in business administration, (2) the church administrator in a large church, or (3) the bi-vocational minister.
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program consists of 30-36 credit hours (10-12 three-credit-hour courses). A transcript review of undergraduate coursework will determine the most appropriate track for applicants. Students may begin in any semester. A minimum of six hours is required for full-time status in the MBA program.
Prerequisites
An undergraduate business degree is not required for admission to the Master of Business Administration program. Students without an undergraduate business degree will be admitted to the 36-credit hour program. Students with an undergraduate business degree may be admitted to the 30-credit hour program based on a transcript review.
The assessment of the MDiv/MBA dual degree is performed within the School of Divinity (MDiv) and the College of Business (MBA) using the set of program outcomes associated with each part of the degree.
