SPAN 105 First Year Spanish

This course is for students who have had some previous study of Spanish, but whose proficiency level precludes SPAN 102 enrollment. The course focuses on developing pronunciation, vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, grammar through the preterite (past) tense, and a general understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures. Pacing and proficiency expectations will be higher than the basic SPAN 101 course and will consist of a 3-4 week review of Spanish 101 and then the rest of the course will cover SPAN 102.
