SCED 330 Science Methods in 21st Century Schools
This course explores methods of teaching science in elementary and middle school classrooms. Emphasis will be placed on the planning, teaching, and assessing of science in authentic settings. Topics include unit planning, the 5E lesson plan format, integrating literacy in science, and inquiry-based learning. This course requires 12 hours of field experience and access to a recording device. This course and the evidence associated with it align with INTASC.1, INTASC.2, INTASC.3, NCPTS.II, NCPTS.III, and NCPTS.IV.
Prerequisite
EDUC 250 with grade of "C" or better, admission into TEP or declared non-licensure
