MAED 330 Math Methods in 21st Century Schools
This course explores methods of teaching mathematics in elementary and middle school classrooms. Emphasis will be placed on the planning, teaching, and assessing of mathematics in authentic settings. Topics include unit planning, the guided math workshop model, differentiation, and project-based learning. This course requires 12 hours of field experience and access to a recording device. This course and the evidence associated with it align with INTASC.1, INTASC.2, INTASC.3, NCPTS.II, NCPTS.III, and NCPTS.IV.
Prerequisites
MAED 204,
MAED 205, and
EDUC 250 with a grade of "C" or better, admission into TEP or declared non-licensure
