New Student Orientation

Orientation provides an opportunity to learn about student resources and services that support and prepare students for the transition into GWU Online. Upon registration, new students are provided access to a self-paced orientation and resources to prepare for their first term of study. Students attend a web-conference orientation prior to the beginning of their first term. New students who have earned fewer than 15 credits from a higher education institution (not dual enrollment) are automatically enrolled in UNI 111 University Life during their first semester, which is a two-credit course devoted to improving the success of online students.
