PHYS 104 Astronomy

A survey of fundamental concepts in modern and historical astronomy and astrophysics. Topics include the origin and nature of patterns and motions in the sky; the makeup and dynamics of our solar system, the sun as a star, stellar properties in general; astronomical instruments and techniques, galaxies and cosmology. Lab included. (The course will include some night-time observing.)
