HUS 385 Social Welfare Policy and Advocacy
Social work and the helping profession encompasses a variety of opportunities for client advocacy, all of which require an understanding of policy, legislation, and service delivery systems in order to best understand how to enact meaningful change for clients. Emphasis will be placed on analysis of previous and existing policy in order to apply information in context to working with clients and client systems.
