EDU 452 Supplementary Testing and Licensure Instruction
This course is designed to provide structured supplemental instruction and academic support to educator candidates who have not yet fulfilled the Praxis CORE or a required state licensure component and, by state mandate, are required to complete preparation through an Educator Preparation Program (EPP). The course focuses on strengthening candidates’ content knowledge, pedagogical understanding, and assessment readiness, aligning with state and national teaching standards.
Through a combination of direct instruction, individualized learning plans, guided study sessions, diagnostic assessments, practice examinations, and instructional coaching, candidates will engage in targeted preparation to meet testing or licensure expectations. The EPP will provide evidence-based strategies, academic resources, tutoring, and test preparedness materials tailored to the specific licensure assessment(s) required for the candidate’s certification area.
