Mission Statement

The focus of the Sport Education program is on developing the knowledge and skills needed to become successful sport instructors and coaches.

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will apply FITT principles in the development of a training plan;
  2. Students will demonstrate proficient performance in a variety of sport skills;
  3. Students will evaluate the performance of others in a psychomotor domain;
  4. Students will identify/perform effective teaching/coaching techniques in an authentic setting;
  5. Students will present strategies for the inclusion of the disabled in sport settings; and
  6. Students will demonstrate the skills of First Aid, CPR, and AED.
