SPAN 213 Medical Spanish I

This is the first course in a two-course intermediate to advanced cycle, which moves students from mechanical to production-oriented skills, following the logical progression of language acquisition in basic grammar courses. Students will learn medical vocabulary and terminology and practice medical problem-solving skills in authentically meaningful situations. Taught in Spanish; one hour of lab required per week. Prerequisites: SPAN 101, SPAN 102, SPAN 201 or satisfactory score on placement test.
