CHEM 111 General Chemistry I

Recommended for first-year science and mathematics majors. This course is an option for the General Education requirements. It is designed to prepare students for more advanced chemistry classes. This course is the first of a two-semester comprehensive coverage of the fundamental laws and theories of chemistry. Topics include scientific measurements, dimensional analysis, chemical formulas, nomenclature, stoichiometry, reactions in aqueous solutions, gas laws, electronic structure of the atom, and physical properties. Lab included.
