ARTS 260 Painting I

Introduction to color theory and practice. This course is an overview; students will receive instruction in the use of variety of techniques while working with acrylic, tempera, gouache, and watercolor. Lecture and slide examples from art history will supplement all practical experience. Required course activities include a field trip to a local museum and participation in the student art show at the end of the semester. (Lab fee.)
