NUR 261 Introduction to Nursing

This course provides a foundation for the practice of nursing and introduces basic nursing concepts related to client-centered care. Emphasis is on establishing nursing knowledge, caring, competence, and communication for the professional nurse, while integrating concepts from the sciences and liberal arts. A major concentration of the course includes application of the nursing process to provide care for clients within a cultural, legal, and ethical framework.
